2021 Mountain Pinot Noir

Dijon Clones “667 & 777” are planted in two different blocks in silty, rocky soil on the Naramata Bench, sitting at about 550 metres above sea level. 

 The 667 & the 777 blocks roughly make up about one hectare of land which is situated on the highest and steepest areas of the Fox Vineyard. The Vineyard is planted southwest-facing for optimal sunlight and during the day it receives early and late afternoon sun.

The wine was fermented 40% Whole Cluster and 60% Whole berry, with a mix of wild and foreign yeast. It was aged for 11 months in 30% new French oak and 70% neutral French oak. The Mountain Pinot Noir has flavours and aromas of Cherry, Liquorice, Red Currants, Graphite and a touch of Baking Spice.
